Studio Minailo's 'Persona' is a musical theater arrangement of Ingmar Bergman's eponymous 1966 film classic, featuring actress, singer, cello and sound direction.
The famous actress Elisabet Vogler has stopped talking. At the advice of her doctor, she moves to a summer house at the seaside to unwind. She is accompanied by the young and naive nurse Alma. Their isolation brings the two women closer together. In trying to break Elisabet's silence by constantly talking, Alma increasingly reveals herself. Only for Elisabet to retreat further into her silence.
The two women experience moments of love and trust, but also of manipulation and agression. The house at the seaside turns into a battlefield where two extremes of human nature clash in a final confrontation: the soul (Alma) and the mask (Persona). The stage direction is by Sjaron Minailo, the musical direction by Winfried Maczewski.
