Julius Röntgen, Henriette Bosmans and Lex van Delden: these Dutch composers are buried next to many, many famous musicians, poets, painters and writers on cemetery “Zorgvlied” in Amstelveen. The Babylon Quartet and poet Daan Doesborgh will pay a tribute to all these artists who have passed away. You will hear string quartets by Röntgen, Bosmans and Van Delden, interspersed by poetry cited by Doesborgh. The quartet of Lex van Delden is inspired by four paintings of Carel Willink, the painter who is also buried on this remarkable graveyard.
