Experience yourself how the meaning of music increases when we understand what we're listening to, and join cellist Lidy Blijdorp, pianist Tobias Borsboom and storyteller Rens van Hoogdalem on their voyage to Paris.
During this concert, the storyteller leads you to 20th century Paris, where you can witness how Groupe des Six on the Boulevard de Montparnasse sprang to life. Wander through the Jardin du Luxembourg with the grand pond, where we let our thoughts drift away on the music by Fauré. Admire the sculpture garden and linger at the statue of god Pan, who is trying to seduce Syrinx. It is a summer day, and we go out to seek a cheerful wine bar, we visit the Monument des Martyrs de la Déportation and say our goodbyes at Père Lachaise. Cello Sonate in d by Debussy, two parts of Poulenceau’s Cello Sonate and a variety of short work by Fauré, Ravel and Satie: the usual Amsterdam chatter will be briefly silenced by the summer sound of Paris.
Tobias Borsboom won Dutch Classical Talent Award in May, which also gained him an honorary title in the Eregalerij van de Kleine Zaal in het Concertgebouw.
Omdat het een privé-locatie betreft, wordt het adres op de dag van het concert per sms bekendgemaakt.
