This year, the young Keuris Quartet went through ten days of intensive coaching, led by professionals from various fields. The aim was to prepare the quartet for a successful and businesslike national and international career. The coaching is a cooperative project between Grachtenfestival Amsterdam and Festival Classique. The Keuris Quartet is named after Tristan Keuris, a Dutch composer noted in particular for two pioneering works for saxophone quartet. The Keuris Quartet has deliberately chosen to theme its repertoire around contemporary music. The quartet can be heard at the Grachtenfestival in the as yet unopened bicycle tunnel underneath Amsterdam Central station.
De ingang van de toekomstige fietstunnel is aan de westzijde van het station naast de bewaakte fietsenstalling en de trap naar spoor 1&2. Er staat een banier met het logo van Grachtenfestival Amsterdam ter herkenning.Grachtenfestival Coacht: Keuris Quartet
