The director Dagmar Slagmolen and the artist Karst-Janneke Rogaar both became inspired by the Humanity House in The Hague. It is a location that demands attention for the endless journeys that refugees have to make in the quest for a safe haven. Together with six musicians - the Keuris Quartet and FaKe DuO - they went looking for the sounds of people who are on the move.
During the Grachtenfestival, their show has been transported to the previously hidden Blauwe Zaal of the Logegebouw in Amsterdam. Under a canopy of glittering gold-leaf stars, which adds yet another mystic dimension.
The show has been developed as part of the Coaching series organised by Grachtenfestival Amsterdam and Festival Classique.
