The Amsterdam harbour is the world’s biggest petrol and cocoa port and its second-largest coal transhipment port. Sea containers from the four corners of the globe load and unload goods there 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Now the Grachtenfestival is offering an opportunity to take a unique tour of this global port. After the approximately 50-minute tour, the boat will dock at Bonte Zwaan, where the Ragazze Kwartet, the soprano Nora Fischer and the drummer Remco Menting will perform the exceptional work Foodlifecrisis. Dagmar Slagmolen wrote the libretto and is handling the direction; Morris Kliphuis composed the music. A probing, moving performance full of musical fireworks.Foodlifecrisis is produced by Aleanza delle Ragazze in partnership with Orkater.
