"For the series Meesterlijk! Grachtenfestival Amsterdam links young masters to old(er), seasoned masters of the trade.
The stage will be crowded with young masters and award winners. The very promising Mirovia Quartet with first violinist Maria Milstein, nominee for the GrachtenfestivalPrijs 2015, and cellist Anton Mecht Spronk, winner of the Eerste prijs at the recent Nationaal Cello Concours. They will be inspired by master of the trade Michael Gieler, as from 1993 soloaltist of the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest. With the First string sextet opus 18 by Johannes Brahms, Grachtenfestival Amsterdam offers one of the highlights in the chamber music repertoire. The unusual six-piece band will perform the greatest melodies in the Romantic tradition."
