Laura  Trompetter

Laura Trompetter (30-08-1989 ’s-Gravendeel, The Netherlands) started with snare drum lessons at the age of 9 with the local drum-band. She began her percussion career in 2002 at the High school for Music and Dance and studied with Chris Leenders, Danny van der Wal and Richard Jansen.

After three years of studying the basics of percussion Laura started playing in different competitions and solo concerts throughout the Netherlands. Some of which were on live radio and television!

During her final exams on Highschool she finished her percussion exam with a 9.5 (passed Cum laude) and entered the first year of Percussion Bachelor of Music at Codarts University, Rotterdam.

Laura studies different percussion instruments, theater and different musical styles with Murk Jiskoot (African Percussion), René Spierings (Percussion Theater),  Bob Langeberg (Drums) and Nils Fischer (Latin Percussion).

Her main studies are Orchestra Studies and Solo Percussion led by Chris Leenders, Hans Leenders and Tatiana Koleva . In July 2012 Laura successfully succeeded her Orchestra Studies Exam. At the moment she is working on her Final Exam program for her final year Bachelor of Music.
