Lydia Opilik from Schwyz (Switzerland) studied violin in Luzern (Switzerland),where she graduated 2007 receiving a Lehrdiploma in violin.

 

In 2007, Lydia continued her studies in singing at the Conservatory of Zürich studying in the class of Lena Hauser and Lina Maria Akerlund, where in the summer of 2009, she graduated with a Concert diploma.

At the moment she is a student of the vocal department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam in the class of Sasja Hunnego and is a member of the DNOA Basisclass.
 

Lydia has taken part in numerous masterclasses: Margreet Honig (Amsterdam), Paula de Wit (Amsterdam), Mainard Kraak (Utrecht), Jeff Cohen (Paris), Rudolf Jansen (Amsterdam) and Bodil Gumoes (Copenhagen).
 

Lydia Opilik regularly performs concerts and opera/ musictheater- productions. She also plays in several Chambermusic formations and forms a Duo with the Pianist Duri Collenberg, which is this time extendet through the Acanthus-Kwartet. 
 

2009 Lydia Opilik won the prize of the Friedl-Wald-Concours (Basel) and the Duft-Thorner-Foundation (Schwyz).
