Pianist Lauriane Follonier was born in Venthône, Valais, Switzerland. She studied the piano in Neuchâtel with Prof. Marc Pantillon and in Munich with Prof. Gitti Pirner, where she graduated in the Piano Meisterklasse in 2011. In addition to being an active chamber musician, she also studied Lied Interpretation with Rudi Spring and Helmut Deutsch, and is currently continuing fortepiano studies with Christine Schornsheim. Lauriane Follonier regularly performs in Switzerland and Germany, and since 2010, she has been participating in the Ludwig II. production as a pianist at the Münchner Kammerspiele. In 2011, she was awarded a special award in Lied Interpretation at the Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria.
