Bulgarian pianist Sibila Konstantinova completed her Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance under a full scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Joan Havill. Before moving to Vienna to study chamber music with prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the University for Music and Performing Arts, Sibila was a recipient of the prestigious GSMD Artist Fellowship. Among her many awards in the United
Kingdom are the Philharmonia Orchestra/MMF Scholarship, the Musicians’ Benevolent Fund Award, the Myra Hess Award, the Franco-British Society's Piano Scholarshipand the Marjorie and Dorothy Whyte Memorial award.
Sibila’s concert engagements have taken her to numerous countries around the world including Spain, Italy, Israel, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, France and Canada. She has performed in venues such as the Barbican Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the Banff Centre for the Arts and Schloss Esterhazy’s Empire Saal. Her performances have been recorded and broadcast by the Bulgarian National Television,
the Performance Channel UK, the Bulgarian National Radio and the Österreichischer RundFunk (Ö1).
Alongside solo performing, chamber music forms an important part of Sibila’s creative output. She is a member of the Monte Duro Ensemble and the Stefan Zweig Trio. As a collaborative pianist she has worked for the Banff Centre’s Fall and Summer Music Programs, ISA International Music Academy, the Festspielhaus St.Pölten and Vienna’s Kosmos Theater.
She is an assistant professor of chamber music at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
