Alexandra Flood

Since debuting at the 2014 Salzburg Festival, Alexandra Flood has appeared as Blonde/Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Violetta/Traviata Remixed, Serpetta/La finta Giardiniera, Maria/West Side Story, Valencienne/Die lustige Witwe, Jemmy/Guillaume Tell, Musetta/La bohème, Vixen / Cunning little Vixen, Gretel / Hänsel und Gretel and Norina/Don Pasquale in opera houses around the world. In 2017 Alexandra originated the role of Miranda/Trincolo in the world premiere of Moritz Eggert's opera Caliban with Operafront at the Dutch National Opera's Opera Forward Festival.
 

Alexandra has performed with such orchestras as the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the North Netherlands Orchestra, the Mozart Camerata Orchestra, the Polish National Radio, Vorarlberg, Queensland and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, and the St Petersburg and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras and worked with such directors as Harry Kupfer, Lotte de Beer, Rudolf Frey, Jerzy Stuhr, Rodula Gaitanou, and Matthew Ozawa, and conductors such as Franz Welser-Möst, Ulf Schirmer, Marius Stieghorst, Karsten Januschke, Antony Hermus, Alexander Liebreich, Theodor Guschlbauer and Maxime Pascal.

In the coming season, Alexandra will appear in recital at Teatro La Fenice Venice, with Opera Queensland in Brisbane, in the Bern New Years Gala in Switzerland and as soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang at the Styriarte Festival in Austria and Mozart’s C minor Mass in Germany. In 2020 Alexandra will release her debut album of Franco Alfano Liriche with Deutschlandfunk Kultur and Bastille Music Label.
