Alessandro Scotto di Luzio

Ales­san­dro Scotto di Luzio star­ted his musi­cal stu­dies at a very young age, by taking pri­vate Voice les­sons and stu­dy­ing Trom­bone at the “San Pie­tro a Majella” Music Con­ser­va­tory in Naples.

After obtai­ning a cer­ti­fi­cate in Theory and Sol­feg­gio, in 2004 he ente­red the class of Luigi Gior­dano Orsini. In 2006, at 19, he was awar­ded the first prize at the 12th edi­tion of the Città di Bacoli Natio­nal com­pe­ti­tion, near Naples, and became an extra cho­rus mem­ber of the Acca­de­mia Nazio­nale di Santa Ceci­lia in Rome, where he sang until 2008. Right after­wards he obtai­ned the inter­me­diate cer­ti­fi­cate in Vocal Stu­dies at the “D. Cima­rosa” Music Con­ser­va­tory in Avel­lino and he was admit­ted to the Scuola dell’Opera Ita­liana asso­cia­ted with the Tea­tro Comu­nale in Bolo­gna.

Bet­ween 2008 and 2009 he won the 14th edi­tion of the Ritorna Vin­ci­tor Inter­na­tio­nal Sin­ging Com­pe­ti­tion in Erco­lano, the tenor sec­tion at the RAI-1 TV sin­ging com­pe­ti­tion and the Tour de Chant Com­pe­ti­tion, and he was fina­list at the 60th edi­tion of the As.Li.Co. Euro­pean Com­pe­ti­tion,

Highlights of his 2009 enga­ge­ments include his par­ti­ci­pa­tion in the Con­certo per la Ricon­ci­lia­zione at the Roman arena in Bet She’An (Israel) in occa­sion of the visit of Pope Bene­dict XVI, his par­ti­ci­pa­tion at the ope­ning con­certs of the 2009 Spi­ros Argi­ris Com­pe­ti­tion with the Orche­stra di Torre del Lago con­duc­ted by Mat­teo Bel­trami, his role debuts as Rodolfo in La Bohème under the baton of Alberto Vero­nesi in Erco­lano and as Tonio in La Figlia del Reg­gi­mento con­duc­ted by Ales­san­dro D’Agostini at the Tea­tro Sociale in Como.

From 2010 on his career has been gro­wing and increa­sing by sin­ging new titles and roles. He made his debut as Nemo­rino in L’Elisir d’Amore in Bolo­gna under the baton of Daniele Rustioni, he debu­ted as Duca di Man­tova in Rigo­letto in Tra­pani, Erne­sto in Don Pasquale in Padua con­duc­ted by Giam­paolo Bisanti and he obtai­ned a per­so­nal suc­cess with Edgardo in Lucia di Lam­mer­moor with As.li.Co in Como, Cre­mona, Fermo, Ravenna.

Recen­tly he sang Un giorno di regno and L’elisir d’amore in Verona and Flo­rence, Rigo­letto in Bari, La Tra­viata in Sas­sari, Don Pasquale in Glyn­de­bourne and Tel Aviv, La Tra­viata in Mel­bourne and Sas­sari, Il paese del sor­riso in Trie­ste, Il cam­piello in Flo­rence.

Among his enga­ge­ments Fal­staff in Pia­cenza, Savona e Fer­rara, Lucia di Lam­mer­moor in Verona, Modena and Parma, Don Pasquale in Venice and Trie­ste, Il Cam­piello in Trie­ste, L’Isola Disa­bi­tata in Naples, Così fan tutte in Flo­rence, L’elisir d’amore in Ber­lin, L’Amico Fritz in Venice, Mac­beth in Ravenna and Savon­linna.
