Are you the young musician with a challenging idea that we are looking for? And do you want to play on the famous Grachtenfestival coming summer? Then do not hesitate and apply for this open call. The Grachtenfestival is collaborating with Amarte Studio Concerts and will organize four concerts that will be showed live and online on the 14th and 15th of August. The concerts will take place in Studio 150, which is a beautiful concert hall in the lively area of Amsterdam-Noord and has outstanding recording and streaming equipment. Also, the venue has beautiful Steinway grand piano.
For whom? Professional, or on a Dutch Conservatory studying musicians which are not older than 31 years old.
What? We are looking for unique collaborations between musicians and interesting crossovers between two or more musical genres. Be inspired by classical music and jazz from all over the world.
How? Sent your idea (with a maximum of 200 words), a recent recording and your biography before the 5th of June to l.scholtes@grachtenfestival.nl. The jury of three musical experts from the classical, jazz and world music scene and they will judge the submissions and select a maximum of four concepts.
Which musicians or ensembles will be selected fort he (payed) concerts are going to be announced on the 12th of June.
