Bach, Penderecki and Händel/Halvorsen in Multatuli Huis. Two young and remarkable string players perform solo works as well as a wonderful duet. Alexander Warenberg, winner of the Nationaal Cello Concours, invites his Israeli colleague, the terrific young violinist Yamen Saadi, for an intimate concert in the birth house of Eduard Douwes Dekker, the great, Dutch 19th century writer. Listen to Bach's first cello suite and his mesmerising Chaconne for violin solo, the chromaticism of Penderecki's Divertimento, and the virtuoso Passacaglia for violin and cello by Händel in an adaptation by the Norvegian Johan Halvorsen.
You cannot get closer to music than this… And there are only 30 seats available. After the concert, do visit to the various rooms in the Multatuli Huis.
This concert is made possible by the Multatuli Huis.
