OBAconcert: Eline&Eva
Eline Welle and Eva Aukes both studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. They met on their first day of study and it was musical love at first sight. Recently they have formed a vocal and guitar duo. Their repertoire includes baroque music, Spanish and romantic music. They also like to make excursions to lighter repertoire.
Eva Aukes (1990) is a Dutch guitarist with a background in classical with influences from flamenco, Portuguese fado, South American and modern music. Eva graduated as a classical guitarist from the Conservatorium of Amsterdam in 2013 with a minor in flamenco guitar. As a solo guitarist, Eva plays classical/romantic, baroque and South American repertoire. Because of her broad musical interests, Eva has developed into a very versatile guitarist, with a love for conveying a story in music, in any form.
Mezzo-soprano Eline Welle (1991) performs as a soloist at home and abroad and cherishes passions for chamber music, ensemble singing and teaching. She is part of the core group of the Nederlands Kamerkoor, is a gifted Liedzangeres and enjoys performing with the Helios Trio. Last year she performed Conception (L'Heure Espagnole, Ravel) at the Grachtenfestival and could also be seen as cricket and dormouse (A song for the moon, Wantenaar) with DNO / Opera Zuid.
