Breno and his Brazilian vibes will bring the summer to you!
Breno Virícimo's "Olaiá Music" evolved in two years from an online music platform to a broad community with a love for Brazilian music.
What started out as producing informal live music videos in living rooms and small studios is now a regular, weekly series where Brazilian and Dutch musicians meet. This makes Olaiá Music the only media channel in the Netherlands that produces Brazilian music on this scale. Breno as artistic director and director Max Baggerman have already created over 100 videos with more than 50 musicians.
For the Grachtenfestival, 'Olaiá Music' moves to a live concert full of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), sambas and bossa nova.
Femke Smit is Dutch but she sings Brazilian music as if she was from there. Maybe it was a previous life, maybe it's pure coincidence, but when she sings Brazilian music she feels at home.
Over 7 years ago Breno and Femke's paths crossed, playing as an intimate duo or partying with hundreds as Roda Da Holanda. Now that Olaiá Music will play live for the first time, she is the logical guest to interpret the Brazilian sounds and emotions.
