Established in 1873, the Holland America Line long functioned primarily to carry more than 850,000 immigrants across the Atlantic to a new life in the ‘New World’. Today, the ships are used for holiday cruises, enabling passengers circle the globe and visit destinations on all seven continents. On Monday 19 August, the MS Prinsendam will be mooring for one day only at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and opening the doors of its ‘Showroom at Sea’ theatre for a concert by two brass players of international renown. Trombonist Victor Belmonte and tuba player Guillermo Collazo have put together a festive programme of works by Albéniz and De Falla and Spanish folk music. It’s all aboard for a concert that promises passengers a unique musical adventure!
