Buiksloterkerk

Buiksloterkerkpad 10 1034 VZ Amsterdam

The Buiksloterkerk is the oldest monument in Noord and dates from 1609. In 1710 the church was rebuilt and expanded, more importantly, elements such as the tombstones, oak pulpit and a copper baptismal arch were preserved. The organ - made in 1858 by organ builder Ter Hart - has two manuals and a neo-Gothic front. When church services stopped in 1986, local residents set up a foundation to preserve the monument and use it for public events such as concerts, exhibitions and lectures. In addition, the church is rented out for gatherings of a closed nature.

The Buiksloterkerk is wheelchair accessible and a wheelchair toilet is available.
