Zaandammerplein

Zaandam Square in the Spaarndammer area in Amsterdam-West was named after the town of Zaandam in 1917. The square features striking architecture from the 1920s by Karel de Bazel.

The playground building on the Zaandammerplein is part of the redesign of the entire square. The designer of the square has grouped a wide range of play and sports activities and designed them as (play-) islands.
