Yamen Saadi

Yamen Saadi was born in Nazareth in 1997. He started to study the violin at the Barenboim-Said Conservatory in Nazareth, and after that he began to study under the guidance of the renowned Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra Concertmaster, Chaim Taub.

Yamen joined the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Barenboim, at the age of 11 in 2008); 6 years later , he served as concertmaster of the orchestra. He has played in different festivals and halls around the world such as Carnegie Hall, KKL, Berlin Philharmoniker, Festspielhaus Salzburg and recorded the entire Beethoven symphonies cycle for Decca.

Yamen has been a winner of the AICF’s scholarships three times. He also won 1st prize at the Paul Ben Haim Competition and 2nd prize at the Clermont Competition.

His first solo concert was when he was 11 with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. He has played as a soloist with the Haifa Orchestra, Galilee Chamber Orchestra, Harvard Orchestra, Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra and jerusalem orchestra .His first international solo debut was when he was 16 with Orchestra de Valencia .

Yamen is an active chamber music player as well, touring in the USA and Europe with different chamber music ensembles .He has participated in the Jerusalem festival since he was 10 and played with many well-known musicians since a very young age such as Daniel Barenboim, Guy Braunstein, Amichai Grosz, Alisa Weilerstein , Sergei Krylov, and many others .Yamen is also part of the Pierre Boulez ensemble since 2016 .

Yamen is currently studying in the Barenboim-Said academy in Berlin, under the guidance of Prof.Mihaela Martin.

He is currently playing on a Carcassi loaned to him by Michael Barenboim.
