Nienke Nasserian

Mezzo-soprano and classical music theater maker Nienke Nasserian Nillesen (1993) graduated cum laude in 2018 from the Master of Music Classical Music Theater at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg. She also received her Bachelor's degree here in 2016. She took lessons with, among others, Harry Ruijl, Peter Nilsson and Edward Hoepelman. She has singing lessons from Janice Dixon and in Italy, she takes singing lessons with maestro Carmelo Corrado Caruso. She has also followed masterclasses with Ed Spanjaard, Lotte de Beer, Miranda van Kralingen and Lior Kretzer, among others.

At the age of eight, Nienke Nasserian started playing the clarinet. At the age of fifteen, she also decided to take singing lessons, initially mainly jazz and musical repertoire. She did various preparatory courses in Amsterdam, Maastricht and Tilburg. At the age of eighteen, she opted for classical repertoire. She studied Classical Solo Voice at the Conservatory in Maastricht for six months and took two years of singing lessons with Yvonne Schiffelers. In 2012 she started studying Classical Music Theater at the Conservatory in Tilburg, where she was taught by Wilma Bierens and Harry Ruijl.
