Jure Jurakic

Jure was born on 03 May 2006 in Gouda (the Netherlands), in a musical family. His mother is a professional clarinetist, and his sister plays the cello. He started playing the piano at the age of seven. Later, Jure began his pre-education at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with his teacher Kamilla Bystrova.

In 2018 he won the second prize and the audience prize at the Steinway piano competition, and was invited to two festivals "Classical on the Amstelveld" in Amsterdam, and "Moscow meets Friends" by Vladimir Spivakov in Moscow. In 2019 he won the second prize at the YPF competition. Jure received masterclasses from Elena Plyashkevich at the Gnessin School of Music. Jure also likes to play chamber music with the various ensembles of the Conservatory. Later he would like to become a concert pianist.
