Panos Iliopoulos

Panos Iliopoulos (1984, Greece), studied piano and music theory, as well as musicology at the National University of Athens. He continued his studies in composition with Sidney Corbett and piano with Paul Dan at the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim, where he currently pursues his PhD in musicology under Michael Polth, with a scholarship of the A. G. Leventis Foundation.
At the same time he is completing his Master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam focusing on early keyboards including harpsichord, fortepiano, basso continuo and improvisation (with Menno van Delft, Richard Egarr, Kris Verhelst, Miklós Spanyi and Goska Isphording), in combination with contemporary music specialisation, live electronics and jazz piano (with Jorrit Taminga, Jos Zwaanenburg, Marcel Wierckx and Berend van den Berg). Further training includes scholarships for numerous courses and master-classes for early music (e.g. Händel-Akademie Karlsruhe) and contemporary and electronic music (e.g. at the Experimentalstudio of the SWR in Freiburg).
As a composer as well as a performer and improviser on both modern and historical keyboard instruments he has participated in many concerts, festivals and music theatre productions around Europe, e.g. in Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, November Music Festival den Bosch, Oude Muziek Festival Utrecht, MAfestival Brügge, Geelvinck Fortepiano Festival, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Resonanzen Festival Vienna, Megaron Athens.

Concerts in 2015 until 2016 of Panos Iliopoulos
