Laat u vooral verrassen!
John Franek’s cycle Wavelengths gathers visual light phenomena as subject material for musical representation
and imitation, thereby producing aural wavelengths which are descriptive of their visual counterparts. Additionally,
the sounds of the panflutes and the blockflutes are augmented through live electronics in order to more fully capture the refractory nature of their optical wavelength counterparts.
Mariana Preda (panflutes) and Juho Myllylä (blockflutes) will guide the audience through a journey of contemporary textures and atmospheric soundscapes with glimpses of folk music and improvisation. The versatility of both
the panflute and blockflute families in an electronically enhanced sound world reflect an array of different emotions and feelings.
