Inspired by greats such as Hermeto Pascoal, Tom Jobim and more recently Hamilton de Holanda, Banda Fulô plays Brazilian music. The band has a lot of influences from jazz, which can be heard in their improvisations. The EP released in 2020 are their own songs with jazz, and Brazilian influences such as the ballad Música Cura (music heals) about a relationship breakup and Blue in Choro a samba jazz about the influence of jazz in Brazilian music. Also more folkloric music like the Baião Forró do Pantanal recorded with a bamboo flute (pífano) from the northeast of Brazil, written by the flutist of the band Floor Polder. This song is an ode to the Pantanal nature reserve. And even a pop song like VIVA (live!) written and sung by the Brazilian pianist of the band Elizabeth Fadel about how life can sometimes be disappointing, but we still have to make the best of it! A diverse repertoire that is especially very swinging and daring!
