Modern dance and classical music engage in a dialogue in LUX. LUX is a fresh, interactive ensemble forming an organic whole. The chamber music of the Ragazze Quartet tightly and expertly leads the dancers through Aafje Franken's lively choreography. The dancers, in turn, challenge the string players to give it their all.
The programme, titled Spiegel (Mirror), consists of two choreographies inspired by two world famous works by Tolstoy: The Kreutzer Sonata and Anna Karenina. They are combined with string quartets by Leos Janácek and Dmitri Shostakovich.
