Barbara Kozelj

Slovenian Mezzo soprano Barbara Kozelj is a passionate and devoted artist and she has proven herself as a charismatic and diverse musician. Since her debute in 2012 with the Concertgebouworkest during the Matthäus Passion with Iván Fischer, her career has gained momentum. A year from then, Barbara achieved great success with her dubute in Carnegie Hall, where se sang Bach's Matthäus Passion, conducted by Iván Fischer. In addition, Barbara received glowing reviews for her performance of Penelope from Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in patria with the Academy of Ancient Music and Richard Egarr in the Barbican Hall in London. 

Barbara regularly performs with Iván Fischer and his Budapest Festival Orchestra. During summer of 2016, Barbara debuted with BBC Proms as an alt solist for Mozart's Requiem and she went on tour bith the BFO on Europian tour to Budapest, Amsterdam, London, Bruges, Baden-Baden, Berlin and San Sebastian. Shortly, Barbara will release a cd of Mendelssohns  A Midsummer Night's Dream on the Challenge Classics label.
